How we work

We don't post jobs. We go after proven talent.

Most staffing firms post a job, wait for applicants, and sort through whoever shows up, including AI-written resumes and applicants who aren't who they say they are. We work the other way.

Step
The usual way
The Madrone way
Sourcing talent
Post the job on boards and wait for applicants
Never post. Go after specific engineers and IT pros already doing the job, most of whom aren't looking
Outreach
Template messages blasted to hundreds
A short, curated message written for each person and each role
Our network
Whoever applied this week
Targeted outreach plus our own database of people we have already vetted
Checking claims
Trust the resume, even as AI makes fakes easy
A recruiter screens every candidate and verifies identity and work history
What you get
Thirty resumes for you to sort through
Three screened candidates, with honest notes on where each is weaker

From first call to start date

  1. A 20-minute call, or a Role Review.

We ask what the person will actually do in month one. The job description can wait.

  2. A price before we start.

Salary range, fee or bill rate, and the all-in cost, in writing.

  3. We go find them.

No job posting. We map who's doing this work today, reach out with a message written for each person, and draw on our own database.

  4. We screen and verify.

A recruiter interviews every candidate and verifies identity and work history before you see them.

  5. A short list.

Three screened candidates, each with pay expectations, start date, and an honest note on where they're weaker. Most roles are filled in one to three weeks.

  6. You decide.

We handle the offer, background check and paperwork.

  7. We check in

at week one, four and twelve, with you and with them.

What we don't do

We use AI to find people faster. A person makes every judgment call.

Send us the job description you have. We'll send back the one you need.
